A precursory screening was conducted for Equine influenza on NAR registered racehorses at the Asahikawa Racecourse of Racing by Local Governments.
During this screening, one horse returned a positive test result. The horse was one which had been transferred from JRA.
As a result, the racemeetings scheduled for Asahikawa Racecourse on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of August 2007 have been cancelled for the purposes of epizootic protection.
