Training Report of Foreign Entries
The 67th Running of the Yasuda Kinen (G1)

May 30, 2017 (Tuesday)

<At Tokyo Racecourse>

Weather: Fine
Going: Standard (dirt course)

Beauty Only (IRE, G6, Bay)

- jogged 1/4 lap and cantered 1 lap on dirt course
(exercised from 7:49 AM to 8:02 AM, ridden by Wai Kit Mo)

“He wasn't that nervous this morning but we did change to a new environment, so we just let him do a regular walk and stretch his legs this morning. Once he got out on the track and started to trot, he got very relaxed. He also ate very well last night so I'm happy with him.

He sometimes works alone in Hong Kong so training by himself here doesn't bother him—he seems to be more relaxed so I prefer it that way.

I haven't checked the turf yet since we just arrived yesterday, but the horse is suited to a firm surface so we're not worried about the Tokyo track.

Tomorrow he'll still do some slow work—same as today.”

Contentment (AUS, G7, Chestnut)

- jogged (8 min.) in exercise arena, jogged 1/4 lap and cantered 1-3/4 laps on dirt course
(exercised from 7:50 AM to 8:13 AM, ridden by Sing Hon Pang)

“Compared to last year, he's a much stronger horse and this morning he was very good and relaxed. He's eating well too.

I haven't felt the turf yet but after his experience here last year, I don't think the going, whatever condition it will be, would bother him.

His workout tomorrow morning will be the same as today.”
