Training Report of Foreign Entries
The 67th Running of the Yasuda Kinen (G1)

June 3, 2017 (Saturday)

<At Tokyo Racecourse>

Weather: Fine
Going: Standard (dirt course)

Beauty Only (IRE, G6, Bay)

- jogged 1/4 lap, cantered 1 lap on dirt course
(exercised from 6:53 AM to 7:06 AM, ridden by Wai Kit Mo)

“Everything leading up to now went according to plan and there’s been no setbacks. The horse is eating very well and is relaxed, he seems to like the environment and I’m very pleased with him.
In Hong Kong he’s never up front, he’s always at the rear, so I’m happy with the draw (no.12) because I prefer him to be on the outside instead of being stuck in the inside.
Tomorrow we’ll give him some light work to do.”

Contentment (AUS, G7, Chestnut)

- jogged 8 min. in exercise arena, jogged 1/4 lap, cantered 1-3/4 laps on dirt course
(exercised from 6:56 AM to 7:17 AM, ridden by Sing Hon Pang)

“As the race approaches he begins to look a bit stronger again and I can’t see anything to be concerned about, no faults or flaws and I’m happy with that.
I think it’s a good draw (no.5) with the horses around him. I thought he might take a good position running in around fourth or fifth and it seems to be reasonable speed in the race—for me it looks ideal.
He’ll do the same work tomorrow as he did today.”
