Objective/activities

As the only central body on equestrian arts in Japan, the Japan Equestrian Federation (JEF) organizes equestrian events and aims to propagate the equestrian sport with a view to widely promote it to the general public. Meanwhile, the organization will also take part in international equestrian competitions to build the foundation of equestrian culture in Japan, as well as to contribute to the international goodwill with other countries.

Main activities are as follows:

    1. 1.To host and authorize various equestrian competitions
    2. 2.To establish various rules for equestrian competitions
    3. 3.To take part in international equestrian competitions and to send forth riders and horses
    4. 4.To propagate and improve equestrian arts
    5. 5.Registration of competition horses, riders
    6. 6.Accreditation of various qualifications
    7. 7.To conduct research on matters related to equestrian arts and to promote providing guidance on equestrian arts
    8. 8.To increase exceptional competition horses and to expand equestrian competition arenas
    9. 9.Publication, distribution of journals
    10. 10.Other duties required to fulfill the Federation's objectives
