Japan Race Horse Registry has officially started Japanese Base de données du stud-book service. Through this service you can access a lot of information on thoroughbred (such as breeding record, imported / exported horses, pedigree, etc.), and approximately 700 thousand data is included. Differently from the stud book publication, data is updated everyday, so you can access the latest information of the horse you like to check.

The Purpose of Establishment of Japan Race Horse Registry
The Purpose of Establishment of Japan Race Horse Registry is "to contribute, through the registration of racehorses, to the proliferation and improvement of racehorses and the keeping of horse resources as well as to the holding of horse racing and the upholding of its integrity". For that purpose, examination of pedigree, identification (description of markings), and parentage verification by scientific technique is carried out to register racehorses. Certificate of Registration is issued to the each horse registered and it is used to check horse's identity at various places and is a great help to fold horse racing and to uphold its integrity as well as to record the pedigree.
