“He isn’t showing much fatigue from the trip but he did seem a bit stiff, so this morning we let him loosen up. He didn’t sweat too much which is a good sign. He’s eating well, he’s physically and mentally in good form and is relaxed. Our trainer will decide on tomorrow’s training menu after I report to him about how he did today.”

The following horse entered in the 42nd Japan Cup were transported to the international stables at Tokyo Racecourse yesterday.

Arrived at Tokyo Racecourse at 21:55 (Nov.18).

Tunnes (GER, C3, chestnut)

- hand-walked around stable area for 25 minutes

“It took us about 18 hours to get here from our stables in Germany. We arrived last night and the colt is showing a good appetite and is calm. He might lose 2 or 3 kilos. Since it was his first long distanced transportation and that we arrived late last night, we only walked him around the stables this morning. He’ll do some light work, maybe jog a bit, tomorrow. Our trainer will be here on Tuesday and he will decide when our colt will do his fast work.”
