<At Tokyo Racecourse>

Weather: Cloudy
Going: Good (dirt course)

Grand Glory (GB, M6, bay)

- walked 1/4 lap, jogged 1/2 lap, cantered 1 lap left-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 8:49 to 9:16, ridden by Anais Dumont)

“She was taken out on the dirt course for the first time since we arrived, and it’s as if she remembers being here last year. She cantered this morning and so far, all is going well and the mare is relaxed. The trainer will decide if she will gallop on Wednesday or Thursday. We’re planning to ask her to do a longer canter tomorrow morning.”

Onesto (IRE, C3, chestnut)

- jogged 1/2 lap right-handed, cantered 3/4 lap left-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 8:30 to 8:42, ridden by Gregory Defrel)

“The colt’s work was kept light this morning—we just let him stretch his legs. He has adjusted to the new atmosphere well. It was the first time for me to see Onesto since he left the stables in Chantilly and I am happy with how he is doing. Christophe Lemaire will ride him on Thursday morning but we aren’t planning for him to work the colt that fast. Tomorrow’s menu will be similar to todays.”

Simca Mille (IRE, C3, chestnut)

- jogged 1/2 lap right-handed, cantered 3/4 lap left-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 8:30 to 8:42, ridden by Amandine Fantin)

“He was very eager to work this morning in his first chance to go out on the dirt course. His condition is very good and we’re happy with him. The colt will probably do some fast work on the 24th with Gregory Benoist in the saddle, but our trainer will make the final decision. Tomorrow’s training will be more or less, the same as today.”

Tunnes (GER, C3, chestnut)

- cantered 1 lap left-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 10:41 to 10:49, ridden by Matej Rigo)

“This morning, we warmed him up by having him walk 15 minutes and then jog for about 10 minutes on the exercise track before taking him out on the dirt course for the first time. As we were instructed by our trainer, we had him canter a lap. He’s handled the transportation well and is in good condition. The trainer is scheduled to arrive here on Wednesday morning, but I will phone him to decide on what kind of work he’ll do tomorrow morning.”
