November 23, 2022 (Wednesday)

<At Tokyo Racecourse>

Weather: Rainy
Going: Good (dirt course)

Grand Glory (GB, M6, bay)

- jogged 1/2 lap, cantered 1/4 lap, galloped 1/2 lap, walked 1/4 lap, jogged 1/4 lap, walked 1/4 lap left-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 6:08 to 6:23, ridden by Anais Dumont)

“I tried to follow her leads this morning, and she was very relaxed and her movements were just as I had hoped. It took a while for her to regain her form last year, but this year, she’s already recovered from the trip and is training as she does back home, so I can say everything is going smoothly and as planned. She will canter tomorrow.”

Onesto (IRE, C3, chestnut)

- jogged 1/4 lap, walked 1/4 lap right-handed, cantered 3/4 lap left-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 6:31 to 6:45, ridden by Gregory Defrel)

“He did his usual menu this morning and he looks very well and in good condition. He went out on the track with Simca Mille but he is comfortable working alone as well. I walked on the turf course and as I was told, the drainage is excellent and it looks like an excellent track. Christophe Lemaire is going to gallop him tomorrow, faster in the last 200 meters.”

Simca Mille (IRE, C3, chestnut)

- jogged 1/4 lap, walked 1/4 lap right-handed, cantered 3/4 lap left-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 6:31 to 6:45, ridden by Amandine Fantin)

“We asked him to jog and canter this morning and his form is improving—he is physically and mentally in good shape. He seems to be in better condition than he was before his last start and is maintaining his weight. Our trainer will arrive today and decide when his fast work will be. Gregory Benoist will be riding the colt tomorrow.”

Tunnes (GER, C3, chestnut)

- cantered 1 lap left-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 8:23 to 8:29, ridden by Matej Rigo)

“We had him do a light canter this morning. I hadn’t seen the colt since he left Germany, but he looks the same and I’m happy with him and am glad that the long transportation didn’t take much out of him. Tomorrow, our jockey Bauyrzhan Murzabayev will do the same kind of work with the colt as he did today and we might do some faster work over 300 meters on Friday.”
