<At Tokyo Racecourse>
Iresine from France, entered in the 43rd Japan Cup, arrived in Japan and was transported straight to Tokyo Racecourse, reaching the international stables at 22:30 yesterday. Comments from the connections and exercise conducted this morning are as follows.
- walked 3 laps, jogged 2 laps, lightly cantered 2 laps, jogged 1 lap, walked 1 lap, all right-handed on the dirt exercise track around the international stables
(exercised from 7:13 to 7:30, ridden by Alexis Larue)
“We arrived last night and although it was a very long trip, the horse handled the transportation very well and was relaxed.
He was a bit alert this morning, looking around, but soon adapted to the new atmosphere and worked as he does back home. He is eating and drinking well—his appetite has not changed.
The trainer will arrive on Monday and then will decide when the horse will do fast work next week, but until then, Iresine will do morning workouts as the trainer decides. Tomorrow we might have him canter a little bit more than today”.
