Training Report of Foreign Entries
Japan Autumn International
The 44th Japan Cup (G1)

November 23, 2024 (Saturday)

<At Tokyo Racecourse>

Weather: Fine
Going: Good (dirt course)

Auguste Rodin (IRE)

- jogged 3 laps left-handed on the dirt exercise track around the international stables, jogged 1/2 lap, cantered 3/4 lap left-handed, jogged 1/4 lap right-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 5:54 to 6:15, ridden by Rachel Richardson)

“He went a mile this morning, steady for the first half and quicker in the second half. He's in very good form and I'm very satisfied. He's very focused and yet relaxed, intelligent and ready for tomorrow, hopefully.
He'll be hand-walked for about an hour tomorrow morning.
I met with Ryan yesterday and he's happy with the draw and he knows Japanese racing more than I do so it's great to have him.”

Fantastic Moon (GER)

- jogged 6 laps, cantered 7 laps left-handed on the dirt exercise track around the international stables
(exercised from 6:01 to 6:18, ridden by Sarah Steinberg)

“The horse is in good shape, he's relaxed and seems to be happy with himself and I'm satisfied with how he is.
Usually, we lunge the horse on the day before the race but since that's not possible here, Rene and I decided to give him some light work to do on the exercise track of the international stables.
Tomorrow, he'll just be hand-walked in the stable area. We've done all we can to tune him up, so we'll just wait and see what happens tomorrow.”

Goliath (GER)
Le Nomade (IRE) (entered in the Capital Stakes)

- cantered 1-1/4 laps left-handed, walked 1/4 lap right-handed on dirt course
(exercised from 6:12 to 6:23, Goliath ridden by Dylan Lepere, Le Nomade by Anthony David)

“This morning, we had the horse do the same kind of work as yesterday and I think Goliath is in excellent condition. We'll take him out on the dirt course tomorrow morning, just to do a light canter.
Everything up to now has gone well and smoothly, the horse is relaxed and he's well prepared to show us his true strength and I have every confidence that he will give his best in the race.”
