“We had Calandagan do a stronger canter this morning. He’s eating well and you can see that his coat looks very good. Our trainer is happy that the horse is in good condition.
Tomorrow morning before the race, we’ll take him out on the dirt course and ask him to do a light canter.
I understand that Calandagan is being highly backed in tomorrow’s race and is one of the top picks. It’s a bit of pressure but we’re all hoping for a successful outcome.”
