Special Equipment

Please refer to the following instructions regarding the use of special equipment for horses in JRA races and note that only for using Blinker during race, a registration that it is to do so must be made by the declaration for that race.

If you want to use any special equipment which are not on the list below, please contact the JRA officials before the declaration to run.

Eye Shield

It is allowed to use with one eye, but not with both eyes.
※If a horse has a lost eyesight, it is only allowed to use with that eye.
Lip Net Banned to use during race, however it is allowed before loading of the starting gate.
Rubber Band Banned to use during race, however it is allowed before loading of the starting gate.
Nose Tie Banned to use during race, however it is allowed before loading of the starting gate.
Nasal Strips Banned to use.
Cornell Collar Banned to use.  
Sheep Skin Cheek Pieces Allowed to use during race.
Shadow Roll Allowed to use during race.
Sheep Skin Brow Band Allowed to use during race.
Standing Martingale Allowed to use during race.
Neck Stretch Band Allowed to use during race.
Hood Allowed to use during race.

Allowed to use during race.
Tongue Tie Allowed to use during race.
