Objective/activities
Established in March 1990, the Japanese Society of Equine Science is Japan's only academic society focusing solely on horses. Through the annual academic exchange, publication of the "Journal of Equine Science," and international academic exchange, the Japan Society of Equine Science works to contribute to the development of veterinary science and equestrian culture in Japan.
The members of this society is not only made up of veterinarians who specialize in natural science of horses, but it also includes specialists from cultural science and social science of horses. All having the common interest in horses, the society is a group of specialists gathered from a wide range of fields and has developed a unique set of activities.
