JRA's Hatsuya Kowata to ride in Prix Longines Future Racing Stars at ChantillyJRA jockey Hatsuya Kowata, a 21-year-old native of Ibaraki, has been invited to participate in the fifth Prix Longines Future Racing Stars jockey event at Chantilly Racecourse in France on Sunday, June 19. The event brings together promising young riders under 25 years of age who have won three or more races but not over 35. Kowata will represent Japan among 14 jockeys from 10 countries: Australia, France (two), Germany (two), Great Britain (two), Ireland (two), Japan, Morocco, South Africa, Turkey and USA. The Prix Longine Future Racing Stars is a one-race event held on the same day and venue as the Prix de Diane (French Oaks). It is the second race of the day's race card and will be contested over 1,600 meters on turf. Post time is 2:20 p.m. local time and carries a purse of 22,000 euros.
