Douglas Whyte receives short-term JRA Jockey's License
The Japan Racing Association (JRA) announced that a short-term riding jockey's license was issued to Hong Kong-based South African jockey, Douglas Whyte.
This short-term riding license is effective from August 15 to 21, 2016.
Whyte, 44, will be primarily riding for owner, Katsumi Yoshida, and Whyte’s host trainer, Yasutoshi Ikee, of JRA Ritto Training Center.
Since the middle of July, Whyte has been riding in Japan under his short-term license from JRA, which expired on August 14. Thus far, he has notched 56 wins from 371 rides in JRA races.
