Hugh Bowman receives short-term JRA Jockey's License
The Japan Racing Association (JRA) announced that a short-term riding jockey's license will be issued to Australian jockey, Hugh Bowman.
This short-term riding license is effective from April 30 to May 29, 2016.
Bowman, 35, will be primarily riding for owner, Katsumi Yoshida, and Berry’s host trainer, Takahisa Tezuka of JRA Miho Training Center.
Bowman rode in Japan under a short-term license last year, notching 8 wins from 58 rides, including the Grade 2 Hopeful Stakes aboard Hartley. Bowman arrives to Japan fresh off his victory in the Grade 1 Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup in Hong Kong on April 24.
