The 66th Running of the Yasuda Kinen (G1)

June 3, 2016 (Friday)

<At Tokyo Racecourse>

Weather: Fine
Going: Standard (dirt course)

Contentment (AUS, G6, Chestnut)

- jogged 6 laps in exercise arena, cantered 2 laps on dirt course
(exercised from 7:45 AM to 8:04 AM, ridden by Sing Hon Pang)

“He moved confidently this morning. Everything is normal, he’s probably learning his way around the track and getting to know where he is, so he looked a little more comfortable this morning in his new surroundings.

“His ideal racing pattern is to sit in second or third and chase the leaders, however if there isn’t a front runner, he might have to go up front and lead himself, he can do that, but still it would be nice to have some company.

“Tomorrow’s training menu will be the same as today.

“Since it’s a small field with only 12 runners, where the other horses have drawn is more important than the number of our barrier draw.”
