Training Report of Foreign Entry
The 59th Running of the Takarazuka Kinen (G1)
June 23, 2018 (Saturday)
<At Hanshin Racecourse>
Weather: Cloudy
Going: Good (dirt course)
Werther (NZ, G7, Bay)
- jogged 600m and cantered 2,600m on dirt course
(exercised from 5:53 AM to 6:06 AM, ridden by Romain Clavreul)
"This morning's work on dirt was very light and he did that very easy. Tomorrow, he'll just have a real good walk before the race. The horse is eating well and is gaining weight quickly. It's a pity we haven't got a few more days prior to the race because he would put on condition quickly. His likely positioning would be 4, 5, 6th. His strong point is that he doesn't like to lose. He knows where the winning post is. There's an old saying, "second-up syndrome" but for this horse, the second is always very good."
