Located in the foremost industrial city of Kitakyushu on the island of Kyushu, Kokura Racecourse holds three race meetings a year. (Each race meeting usually has six to twelve days.) Its major races are the Kitakyushu Kinenen (G3), the Kokura Kinen (G3), the Kokura Nisai Stakes (G3), the Kokura Daishoten (G3) and the Kokura Summer Jump (J-G3).
