Training Report of Foreign Entry
The 48th Running of the Takamatsunomiya Kinen (G1)

March 24, 2018 (Saturday)

<At Chukyo Racecourse>

Weather: Fine
Going: Good (dirt course)

Blizzard (AUS, G7, chestnut)

- jogged 400m, cantered 1,500m on dirt course
(exercised from 6:21 AM to 6:31 AM, ridden by Ho Yin Wong)
- Weight: 504kg (approx. 1113lb)

“He just did a similar work as yesterday—a little walk, trot and a nice canter around, he’s done one lap—he’s ready, really ready for tomorrow. Since he’s been here, he’s adapted with the ups and downs—he’s a smart horse—and fortunately we got a good draw so we’ll be racing as planned within around the top five position. He weighed 504kg today and I remember when we’re back in Hong Kong that his ideal weight is 1111lb. (503kg).
Tomorrow, we’ll hand-walk him around the stable in the morning before the race.”

“The course at Chukyo is interesting—smaller than Sha Tin and sharper turn as well as the downhill then up. It’s also his first time to race left-handed but he’s an older horse—very clever—so maybe it could be strange for him to race the opposite way but I believe from the feel he gave me yesterday, it’ll just take him about two strides to feel comfortable again, so I’m pretty confident going into the race, especially with (good) draw like that.”
