Shozo Sasaki, trainer
“She seems to be in good shape. She’s filled out more since her last race, and is better mentally now. The two keys with her this time will be how she handles the transportation to the track and the distance of 2,400 meters in the race.” |

“She’s moved easily on the uphill track this last week, and there’s no problem with her condition. She’s quite a relaxed horse, so I’m not worried about the long transportation to the track. Since some time ago, I’ve thought she’d be better in races over a longer trip, and even though we won’t know until she tries, the extended distance in this next race should suit her. I hope she can reverse the placings this time (with Embroidery).” |

“The jockey (Damian Lane) says that she’s easy to ride, and the horse has worked well in training. She came out of her last race well, and hasn’t lost any weight. She’s trained well these past two weeks, when her times have been about the same. The extra distance of the race this time is a plus, and she is able to find a good rhythm when she runs, so there’s no reason why she can’t do well. She didn’t get to run her race last time, so I’m hoping she can return to form
Damian Lane, jockey
“She’s still a young horse, and will develop more, but she has plenty of potential. She has a good closing finish.” |

“She’s handled her workload well, and her reactions have been good in training, when working with other horses. She’s been running smoothly, and her times have been good. Her win last time was impressive, and it showed that she’s developing the right way. We hope to have her weight around 480kg by the time of the race. She’s in about the same condition as she was for the Oka Sho, and it means she should show her speed and power once again.”
Christophe Lemaire, jockey
“I didn’t push her too hard this last week. She’s a big filly with a big stride, and she knows when to take the bit, which makes her move well. The distance is 2,400 meters this time, but she’s in good condition, and I really want to win this next race with her. She has a very good chance.” |

“She’s worked well on the woodchip course, and I think she’s in better condition than she was for her last race, which she came out of with no problems. She’s posted good times in training, while running on the inside, and everything’s been as expected with her. She runs with a good rhythm and is relaxed. We won’t know about the 2,400 meters distance of this next race until we try, but on her breeding, it doesn’t look to be an issue. She’s relaxed, and there shouldn’t be a problem with the long transportation to the track. We’ll rely on the jockey (Keita Tosaki) to do the rest.” |

“She’s improved for her recent training, and her workload’s been sufficient. There haven’t been any problems since her last race. She tends to rely on other horses to bring out the best in her, and if she gets to relax in the run, she can get a better result than last time. That race wasn’t a true measure of what she can do, and I’m hoping things will be different this time. 2,400 meters should be a good distance for her.”
Akihide Tsumura, jockey
“She’s improved considerably in this last week, compared to two weeks ago, so I’m hoping for the best. Wet conditions on the day would be a plus.” |

“She’s been at the stable, and her work in training has been good, working with other horses on the woodchip track. Her reactions have been good, while not overdoing it. She’s also eating well, and I think her condition is better than it was before her last race, when she lost some weight transporting to the track. She can hang a little to the left, so racing left-handed will help her, and the wide course is a plus too. I’ve had the Oaks marked as a race for her, so I’ll look forward to how she does.”
Yusuke Oe, assistant trainer
“The jockey (Andrasch Starke) says the horse feels good. She was a bit boisterous when she was younger, but she’s a lot better mentally now. She can do well if she relaxes throughout the race.” |

Michael Dee, jockey
“She’s done what I’ve asked of her, and she feels like she can do well. I think she’s more of a staying type, with the stamina she has.” |

“She came back from the farm in good shape. She’s developing well, and the jockey (Ryusei Sakai) has been putting her through her paces. The horse is nice and fresh, and she looks more muscular now. We’ll just decide on what she needs to do as the race gets closer. We haven’t overdone it with her. She’s not a 1,600 meters horse, so I’ve considered the Oaks for her, as it looks like a better distance. She always gives her best, and it’s possible she might go to the front from the start. She’ll need to show endurance, though, over the course this time. It’s an important race for her as she develops more.” |

Kazuki Nitta, assistant trainer
“She’s filling out more and has a good appetite. Her work’s been good on the woodchip course, with a final furlong time of 11.1 seconds. She’s come along as expected, and with the transportation to the track, she’ll just do light work in this final week. She looks like a horse to run over a distance, so the 2,400 meters at Tokyo looks good for her, with her big stride and stamina. Hopefully the transportation will go well, and she’d appreciate good ground on the day. She should take up a position that suits her in the run, and we’ll look forward to what she can do.”
Mirco Demuro, jockey
“She ran a good race last time. She seems to have improved mentally and is more relaxed now. The wide course and extra distance this time should suit her running style.” |

“She went to the farm after her last race, when she picked up an injury, but since returning, her times have become faster in recent training, and she’s coped well with the work we’ve given her. I think her ability will see her through, despite the race possibly coming a bit too soon. I worried about the long transportation to the track last time, but she was quite relaxed, so things should be fine this time too. It was good that she ran well last time, and that she was able to run a different kind of race then, so I’m pleased with things as this race approaches.” |

Shizuya Kato, trainer
“There’s a little difficult side to her, but, overall, she feels good. She doesn’t pull, and with the times she’s set in training, she’s shown her ability and there shouldn’t be any problems. I’ve thought previously that she’d be better over a longer trip. She has won at Tokyo, and I’m pleased that she has got into this next race. It’ll be interesting to see what she can do.” |

Tsutomu Watanabe, groom
“Things have gone as expected with her training, and we have considered the fact that she has to transport a long way to the track. She’s a horse with good racing sense, and I don’t think the distance of the race will be a problem for her.” |

Katsunori Tanaka, trainer
“She threw her head around at the first corner in her last race, but the jockey was able to get her to run patiently in the end. She’s been moving well in training though, and there’s a good feeling about her. She seems to be improving, and the longer distance this time should suit her better.”
Shota Takai, assistant trainer
“Everything’s gone as planned with her. She looks better now the weather is warmer, and she’s in good condition. She eventually found a good rhythm in her last race, so we could look to this next one with her with some confidence. It’s a big plus that she’s experienced transporting over to the Tokyo track before.” |

Tagano Abby
Teruhiko Chida, trainer
“We’ve taken things steady with her, as it hasn’t been long since she last ran. It’s been important to make sure she’s not showing any signs of tiredness, but there doesn’t seem to be any change with her and she’s in good shape, having recovered well from her last race, in which she posted a final three-furlong time of 33.3 seconds. She’s experienced traveling over to Tokyo before and was relaxed at that time. There’s a good feeling about her, and I don’t think there’s too much in it between her and the other horses in the line-up.” |

Taisei Princesse
Masakazu Ikegami, trainer
“She’s just done some light work, and we haven’t pushed her too hard. Despite being a long way back in her last race, she ran on well at the finish. Her condition is good enough.” |

Takeshi Matsushita, trainer
“She won’t need so much work as the race gets nearer, and she’s just been working solo in training, but doing things well. I think over the 2,400 meters she won’t pull, if the flow of the race is as expected. This time she’ll wear a hood and a cross-nose band. She’ll hopefully run on well at the end of the race, as we know she can do.” |

Will Survive
Naosuke Sugai, trainer
“She had a break at the farm, and her recent work in training has been on the uphill, which has been good for her. She’s developing well. It’ll be her first time to race over 2,400 meters, but on her breeding, it looks fine, and she can find a good rhythm when she runs. The Grade 1 opponents will be strong, but she ran well last time, especially considering the slow pace. She should be fine transporting over to the track, so I want her to do her best again.” |
