The Japan Racing Association has announced that the 2015 Takamatsunomiya Kinen winner, Aerovelocity (8-Y-O gelding, trained by Paul O'Sullivan), has been withdrawn from this year's race, scheduled for Chukyo Racecourse on March 27, 2016, due to colic.

Trainer Paul O’Sullivan comment: “I always want a horse to go into a race in the best possible condition he can be. On this occasion with what has happened, I have decided to withdraw thinking foremost of the horse. I am only praying for his recovery. I believe that many Japanese racing fans were looking forward to seeing Aerovelocity race. It is very disappointing for us as well and I hope that we will be able to return to Japan again and I ask for your continued support.”
