- jogged 300m (right-handed), jogged 200m, cantered 2,800m, jogged 400m (left-handed) on dirt course
(exercised from 6:37 to 6:48, ridden by Amir Cedeno)

“Today was the endurance day – the tough day of the week in training – we galloped two laps around which I think is about two miles – and I was very pleased and happy how he did it. I feel comfortable that he is into the racing mode and his condition going up.

“He did his fast work over a mile in Kentucky before coming here to Japan, so he just does his usual canters every day here. Mario (Gutierrez) will arrive tonight and might come over tomorrow to overseas Pavel’s training but he won’t be riding him until Sunday.

“To beat Japanese horses (in Japan) is not easy I know, but I’m pretty confident because he did exactly the same as when we traveled overseas in Dubai and we ran a very nice race there, so that’s why I feel very comfortable and confident that he’ll do well.

“(About his barrier draw) It’s a little bit in the inside but he does have some speed out of the gate, so I hope he can maneuver his way to a good position.”
