“He looked fine today, he always has a good attitude and in the gallop this morning, he was good as always. He’s a very relaxed individual, travels well, eats well and takes everything in his stride. He’s getting stronger and is in good condition.”

“The horse was very relaxed this morning and so easy to ride. He was looking around a bit but after putting him under a bit of pressure in the last 200 meters, he had a nice reaction and the stride and balance was fine. With the race a few days away, it was clear that the horse didn’t need any more fast work and I was happy with him.
I think the perfect race would be one or two leaders in front of him with a fast pace and then to try to catch them in the last 100 meters. The advantage with Rich Tapestry is that he is a very easy horse to ride so I can put him in any position, even in front if the pace is slow. He’s got plenty of experience so it’s a nice advantage for the jockey to ride a horse depending on the start and the pace of the race. It would be nice if the draw for the starting gate is between one and 12.”
