“The horse is in his usual condition and he’s eating as much as we expect him to. He’s steadily putting on one to two kilos every day since he is working out and gaining muscle.”

The horses were transported to Nakayama Racecourse, leaving Horse Racing School quarantine facilities at 10:37 and arriving at the international stables at 11:33. Comments taken from the connections upon arrival are as follows:

<At Nakayama Racecourse>

MUGEN (AUS)

“The transportation from the quarantine stables was very quick—he’s used to riding in the horse van and he’s a good traveler.

Tomorrow the horse will canter. Whether it will be on the turf or not, I’ll get in touch with the trainer later on and decide. Depending on when our jockey arrives, the horse might do a gallop on Friday.”

VICTOR THE WINNER (AUS)

“It took us less than an hour to get here from the quarantine stables so there was no problem with that. He is enjoying the cooler weather that begun yesterday but still likes the air-conditioning because he always has it in Hong Kong.

Tomorrow the trainer and jockey will be here, and the jockey will gallop him.”
