Docklands (GB, H5)

Docklands did not go out to the track today but walked around the paddock (ridden by Michael Vokins) for about 10 minutes.

“The horse seems very happy and in good order. He seems to have recovered well from yesterday’s gallop. Back home, he’ll normally have a quiet canter the day after galloping, but I didn’t want him to do too much today, so it was easier just to give him a walk around the paddock than have a quiet canter on the track. I think he would have done a bit more than I would have liked if he had gone on the track.
Tomorrow, he’ll probably go six or seven furlongs on the dirt, just quiet, and then we’ll see what happens on Sunday.
As mentioned at yesterday’s press conference, the ideal draw would have been 10 or lower. So, draw no.16 is somewhat disappointing, but I’ll trust the jockey to handle it.”
