“He’s healthy and happy, he weighed 1,142 pounds yesterday afternoon.
Happy Valley’s course also has its up hills and down hills and since our jockey is very experienced, I’m not worried about Tokyo’s course.
After the draw comes out, we will discuss tactics and plans for Sunday.
He’s fit and doesn’t need any more extra work, so he’ll just do a slow canter tomorrow, just as today.”

“His condition is very good. He did a middle-speed gallop today. The trainer decided that since he is fit, a fast gallop was unnecessary. He handled the hills smoothly; he changed legs after the uphill and was very balanced.
Tomorrow he will do a slow canter on the dirt course and the trainer, who will arrive tonight, will be here to see him work out.”
